This year I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about my business and what I want it to be moving forward. I took a class called From Artisan to Entrepreneur by Holly Howard and began looking at it all quite differently. A lot of ideas had been swirling around in my head over the past few years and this class helped me get them down on paper and focus. It helped me dream bigger, and it made me realize the how essential it is to get clear on our purpose and values.
I feel so fortunate to do what I love, and to be building a company that supports others – my employees, the local printing and weaving mills, and the sewing workroom in our building.
Every order that we receive makes a difference to us. I am thankful to all of you who choose to have our product in your home, for those who have read my book, and for all of you that follow along on social media. All of you contribute to what we’re creating and drive us to continue to design and develop product to inspire you to tell your personal story at home. Your support motivates us to try our best to find ways to do this sustainably and to give back.
As a small company, it can be a challenge to make it all work, but we feel strongly about giving back in small ways and as we grow, in bigger ways. This week we’re giving back with 10% of all sales going to the American Civil Liberties Union. They work to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties of Americans. We hope you’ll join us in giving back.
