Interior Designer We Love: nune + Frances Mildred

Posted by: Nellie Laskow

One of the things that I enjoy most about my job is working with our wonderful interior design clients. I'm always so excited to see our products in a real home! You can see all our the posts in our Interior Designers We Love series here

When Sheena at nune got in touch with these living room chairs featuring our Shibori fabric we knew we had to share! Hear more from Sheena below and follow nune here for the latest.

"This is a late 1800’s house in Park Slope, Brooklyn that was renovated by us (Nune) and Frances Mildred. We were hired by our clients, Branca & Co, and our collective vision was to restore the house to as close to its original details as possible while breathing new life into it to make it a beautiful, comfortable historic home for a modern family. The house had previously been owned by the same family for some time and we were tasked with gutting and restoring it to its former glory, with some modern upgrades and architectural interventions, and we fully furnished all the main rooms in the house. "

"We wanted to restore the house with integrity and love and as such, when it came to the furnishings, we put an emphasis on working with vintage pieces and local artists + designers. The vintage Baughman chairs we used a custom-made Rebecca Atwood fabric were a perfect marriage of those two things; pieces with age and history upholstered in a fabric designed and made by one of our favorite local textile designers."
