Layer for the seasons

Posted by: Rebecca Atwood

While I love summer and dread the winter, the coolness of fall is always welcome after sweltering city days. I can't help but look forward to the coziness of fall, and for me, that means adding extra layers to my bedroom.

In the warmer months, you probably got by with just sheets and a coverlet. In the colder months, I love breaking out a duvet with a fluffy down insert inside.

Colder months are a perfect time to really go for it and layer all your pieces. There are so many different ways to make your bed. Do you use a top sheet? Or just a duvet? Figure out if you prefer having a blanket on top of your sheets and between your duvet, or just layering a quilt on top of it all for extra warmth; you can keep it folded at the bottom of the bed during the day. Our coverlets are a great year-round layer as they're light enough in the summer but really help keep the warmth in for cooler months when paired with a duvet.

Of course, you'll want to add a throw blanket. I always have a few that travel around our small apartment--from the living room to the bedroom. Our cotton knit stripe throw is the perfect thing to layer on the bed or use on its own to curl up with a good book.

We have created a few looks to inspire you with pattern mixing and layering, and you can find more inspiration with #RAbedding on Instagram.

  • What exactly is the loyal list rewards program? I’ve made several purchases . Does that qualify me for the rewards program?
