RA at Home: 2019 Fold Up

We had the pleasure of seeing our products in so many beautiful homes this year. See our mini-round up below and see more on Instagram under the hashtag #RAatHome

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?

Tory Williams: To trust yourself

What motivates you?

Sharon Radisch: I’d say that I’m pretty motivated in general. On days where I’m feeling extra exhausted, I listen to my body and get a little extra sleep. My morning cup of coffee is also a bit of a motivator in the mornings. As long as I’ve had enough sleep, I’m usually pretty excited to get up and start the day.

How do you like to spend your weekends and free time?

Sarah Elliot: We spent the last 5 months DIY remediating the lead paint on our windows which took up all our free time and weekends. Weekends now entail our local farmers market, cooking for friends, antiquing in Hudson (Red Chair on Warren!), hiking, and museums (we love Art Omi and Mass Moca). When it’s warm we try to get in as much pond swimming as possible.

What's your philosophy when it comes to personalizing your space?

Anita Yokota:
It definitely has to be functional, informal and effortless. My top priority as a designer is to listen to my client’s needs.  Ultimately, this is how I design for my family too.  How Travis and the girls feel and move in our home provides the impetus for my designs in each space.

What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?

Orlando Soria:
The best piece of advice I’ve received is from my dad, orlanDAD. He told me to seek out the best people and learn from them. Sometimes it’s intimidating to be around people who are amazing at what they do, it can make you feel inferior or unaccomplished. But it’s a great way to study how and why people are successful, and learn from them.
