We're rounding up our favorite people who used our product in their homes this year. There is truly nothing better than seeing something go from initial idea to design to production to a lifetime in someone's home. We hope these creatives and their homes will inspire you to tell your own story through pattern.
Erin Boyle of Reading My Tea Leaves
We are huge fans of Erin Boyle and her inspiring blog, Reading My Tea Leaves. Erin exudes a calm, caring and active spirit that is simply infectious. We were very excited when Erin mentioned she wanted to have a slipcover made for a sofa-bench in her apartment. A self-proclaimed pattern-phobe we sent Erin some ideas we thought might bring in a quiet but impactful pattern element that could layer into her home. We love her choice of the Hills in Gray-wood and think the result is just lovely. Read her interview here.
Photographer and stylist April Valencia shot our woven pillow and throw in her Boniva, NY home. We sat down with April and chatted a little bit about her home, her career and how she likes to use pattern. Read it here.
When Caroline Lee first contacted us that she and Anne Sage were redesigning her bedroom inspired by "70s granny chic" we had to know more. When we learned that the whole room would be a play on tones - from pink to blush and every color in between - we knew that we'd have a fabric that would work. This room is so both unexpected and beautiful. Something that could only be a product of this talented duo. See it here.
Last year Heather stopped by our studio in Brooklyn and we've seen been huge fans of her and her art ever since. She is also one of my favorite people to follow on Instagram because she has a beautiful mix of art and nature. When Heather was looking to cozy up her work and home space in San Francisco we jumped on the opportunity! Hear from Heather about her unique and dreamy studio/home and see some photo here.
Joanna Hawley of Jojotastic
Joanna Hawley of Jojotastic was an early supporter of Rebecca Atwood Designs back when Rebecca was dyeing shibori pillows in her bathtub. When Joanna reached out that she was redoing her bedroom in a house that she bought we were excited she chose our Marbled Stripe wallpaper. It's definitely a favorite around here. Hear from Joanna about what home means to her and how she likes to use pattern here.
We're big fans of Gray Benko's Instagram and photography around here so we were thrilled when she reached out that she was recovered one of her mom's chairs and wanted to use our Tidal Waves fabric. We love how this room turned out. Hear more from Gray about what makes her house a home and her interior design philosophy here and be sure to check out her work here. Her home was also featured on the Glitter Guide here.
Amanda Hesser of Food 52
We've been long fans of Food 52 here at Rebecca Atwood so we were excited when Nina Etnier of Float Studio reached out about her project at founder Amanda Hesser's home. Nina and Amanda used our Hills fabric in Black on Natural on an heirloom chair of Amanda's and made custom pillows out of our Floral Medallion in Navy fabric and Dashes in Tangerine fabrics. We love the mix of family heirlooms brought to life through new textiles. See a video and hear Amanda talk about her home here and read our interview with Amanda here.
