Bramble Wallpaperin Forest Shadow

$180/yard

Thickets of berry bushes inspired the name for this grasscloth wallcovering. Printed at a slightly larger scale than our Bramble woven fabric, it has a nice texture and a subtle sheen, almost like raw silk. FOREST SHADOW has a dappled effect, almost like tree bark, thanks to the pale greens, blues, and lilac in it that stand out against the chocolate brown and deep hunter green

Care

Our grasscloths can be vacuumed to release any dust that may accumulate on the surface. Do not use water to clean the grasscloth wallcovering, as the vegetable dyes used to create the colors can bleed or streak.

Notes

Our grasscloth wallpapers are printed on a handmade surface. Because they are woven with natural fibers, it is common that shades will vary throughout the pattern. Please be sure to examine the wallpaper before you hang it.

Questions?

Please refer to our FAQ.

How many yards will you need?

Before ordering, we strongly recommend confirming yardage with your professional installer. Depending on the scale of the wallpaper pattern, this should include a 20-30% overage. When in doubt, we advise rounding up to avoid the expense and time associated with reordering.

Color matching is not available for grasscloth wallpapers. This ground is handmade from natural fibers, so we see variation between lots. We recommend ordering extra yardage to account for an additional panel of wallpaper for your project.

Process
Rebecca created Bramble as a woven fabric then translated it into grasscloth, a process that isn’t as straightforward as it might seem. Upholstery fabrics are designed to be seen up close, but wallcoverings are meant to be viewed from a distance. That means the designs needed to be altered slightly to achieve on a wall the effects of texture and color that were originally designed for furniture. Experimenting with the scale, contrast, and grounds, she found the right combination to show off each color to best effect. The resulting grasscloth is very special. The colors in it come alive when the light hits them, and it takes on a slight sheen, almost like raw silk.
